Charlotte, North Carolina – January 9, 2014 – A&K Painting Company is proud to announce that 2014 marks its 20th anniversary.  Founded in 1994 by Andy Robbins, CEO, A&K Painting is a national award winning commercial and industrial painting contractor with headquarters in Charlotte, NC and is known for exceptional customer service.

Through the years, the careful growth of the business has been significant.  Today, the A&K Painting Team operates from 5,000 square foot offices and a 10,500 square foot Operations Training Showroom, which houses  the operations warehouse, employee and client training facility and a designer showroom displaying hundreds of full size samples of paint finishes, wallcovering and decorative finishes.  Additionally, A&K developed and powers their project management with JobNet™, a proprietary, state-of-the-art quality control, cloud-based project management system that provides easy access to all project information for all A&K clients.

Today’s Wall Street Journal story about Evernote’s Silicon Valley office building highlights one of the products we use called IdeaPaint, an excellent dry erase coating.  Evernote’s complex utilizes dry erase solutions throughout, in offices, conference rooms and common areas. The whiteboard has three chief virtues: It’s fast. It’s easy to use. And it’s big. “We’re often doing something I call ‘designing in the hallway,’ ” said Jamie Hull, the product manager for Evernote’s iOS apps. “When a new problem or request comes up, the fastest thing you can do is pull two or three people aside, go to the nearest wall, and figure it out.” Unlike a computer or phone, the whiteboard is always on, always fully charged, and it doesn’t require that people download, install, and launch software to begin using it.

2013 Buckets of Love Are Delivered

Great things happen because of A&K’s Buckets of Love.
This year we assembled and delivered 110 buckets full of school supplies that help school children to succeed.

Our 4th Annual ‘Buckets of Love’ campaign distributes school supplies to local schools and Classroom Central to assist local elementary school students living in poverty. We work to support the mission of Classroom Central.  Our Buckets of Love campaign collects donations to supplement A&K Painting Company’s donation. Buckets of Love provides direct support to students at several elementary schools in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District, Rock Hill School District, Gaston School District and Lancaster County School District.

For a period of two months, July 1st to August 30th, we solicited donations and support from customers, vendors and other industry associates and friends to supplement A&K Painting’s donation. School supplies were purchased and some were donated. Buckets of Love labels were placed on five gallon buckets provided by our vendors and then 110 buckets were filled with supplies.  Classroom Central already received our delivery of buckets and today we completed delivery to the local schools.
