Supporting Classroom Central and Our Community

Supporting Classroom CentralIn response to our 2nd Annual Buckets of Love campaign to help provide school supplies to needy children, we received the following letter from Classroom Central.   Dear A&K Painting

Your donations are already making it into the hands of the kids who need them most and below is a thank you from a student whose school and fellow classmates have benefited from your hard work, passion and support!

Thank you from all of us at Classroom Central too! Your support allows us to keep our doors open and our shelves stocked – ultimately helping our teachers and students have a better school year.

A&K Painting & Color Care Across America

We believe in providing direct charitable support within our community and feel blessed having been involved in painting the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte.  As part of Benjamin Moore’s ‘Color Care Across America’, A&K supplied all of the painters to complete the repaint of the shelter interior.

Benjamin Moore Paints – Color Care Across America and PDCA Member Contractors across the country are painting 50 homeless shelters in each State and 1 shelter in Washington D.C.  The goal is to and raise awareness about homelessness in America while bringing color and needed painting improvements to shelters .

The experience enriched our employees while providing significant positive impact for the men who seek refuge at the shelter.  We hope the new paint colors applied by our professionals will provide years of more comfortable surroundings for those in need. We’re proud of the fantastic work our painters completed.

Project Pink Supports Finding a Cure for Breast Cancer

A&K Painting Project Pink – Let’s Help Find a Cure for Breast Cancer
That’s our goal, to increase awareness and engage our customers and all others we come in contact with – in person and online.  Last year A&K Painting initiated ‘Project Pink’ to actively push awareness of breast cancer.  Our awareness endeavors include special pink employee shirts and the use of big pink bows on our company vehicles.  Both grab a lot of attention.  We work to assure our team of employees are all aware of Breast Cancer research and treatment that hopefully one day soon will find a cure. Early diagnosis and treatment is critical.  Help our goal of reaching more people and pushing awareness of the fight through your sharing of this blog post.  Join the fight, join Susan G. Komen ‘Search for the Cure’™ in their fight against breast cancer.

A New Operations Center for A&K Painting

The papers are signed.
We’ve just leased a 10,000+ square foot building that will become A&K’s new operations center. Less than one half mile from our existing office, the new Ops Center will provide our field employees with many benefits: meeting and training space which is critical to our ongoing employee training and team building work, more space for easier access and loading of equipment and private lockers and dressing rooms with showers.   Our employees have done very well getting in and out of our existing shop in an efficient manner though cramped and crowded with our growth. Say goodbye cramped and crowded and hello to a better organized and efficient shop. Next week we meet to finalize the design and get the remodel work of the existing building underway work and address the place up and we know the best company to do it – A&K Painting. We will keep you apprised of progress and of course the grand opening.

What’s going to happen to our old shop area?
A second remodel project, this one at our existing office will soon get underway. With our business growth and needed additions to our management staff, we need the room – actually several rooms, offices and meeting space. We’re excited. Our expanded offices will allow us the needed space to operate more efficiently and continue to achieve our number one goal – serving our customers better than anyone else.
