Every year, the Carolina Panthers and Community Blood Center of the Carolinas hold the “Keep Pounding” blood drive at Bank of America Stadium that benefits 21 area hospitals. This year it will be held on Wednesday, May 1 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and will take place in the Visiting Team locker room, located on the stadium’s ground level.
According to the Carolina Panther’s webpage, “for every pint of blood that is collected at the blood drive on May 1, the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will make a financial contribution to the Keep Pounding Fund to support cancer research efforts at Carolinas Medical Center. The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas provides more than 90 percent of the blood supply to 21 area hospitals in North and South Carolina”.
So if you donate, you’ll be supporting a very important cause, as well as a large number of your local hospitals. To show their appreciation, the Carolina Panthers will offer some lucky winners autographed memorabilia and VIP trips to their training camp at Wofford; everybody will receive a Keep Pounding blood drive t-shirt.
