We Thank Those Who Have Served

Veterans, A&K Painting Company Thanks You A&K Painting Company Inc. Copyright 2014 All rights reserved. We say thank you for your service.

On the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the First World War ended on what was commemorated as Armistice Day dedicated to world peace. While the observance of Armistice day in other countries in more closely matched to our Memorial Day in May, the United States continued to celebrate Armistice Day until it was given its new name in 1945 at the end of the Korean War.

Veterans Day is observed as a day to honor all veterans.  We remember and thank all those who served and all those who currently serve our country.

Take every opportunity to say thank you to our veterans and those currently serving. When you see an old timer and younger adult wearing a Veteran cap from his or her military branch, stop and say “thank you for your service.” When you see active duty military man or woman, make sure to say “thank you for your service.”
